Hi! :-)
We're glad you're interested in the site. This is a small community instance, though, and you will need to get an invite from a member to join.
If you're interested, reach out and we'll be happy to talk!
Below is a summary of rules you need to follow if you want to have an account on this server of Mastodon:
You can read more on those rules below.
It feels a bit odd to be using this name after such a long hiatus. I admit, I was a bit leery to use the name as the first iteration (nearly 20 years ago, now) ended. The few remnants of the Dreamer's Guild who I remain in contact with felt this was an appropriate use of the domain, though, so here we are.
The Dreamer's Guild is really just a collection of friends who managed to stay friends long enough to form a community. There is no real magic to it beyond that. Some have been here since the beginning. Others joined along the way. If you think you'd be a good fit, drop us a note. We're always looking for like-minded folks to help us grow and evolve, but we're old enough now to be picky. I would argue that "Dreamer's" is a bit of a misnomer - as most of us prize moving from dream to action. In that sense, we are dreamers who do and our interests and curiosities remain vast.
We're geeky - to be sure - but far more than the sum of those interests, alone.
I will make this easy - if you are on this server, you are here by invitation. That invitation can be revoked at any time for any reason. I look at the Dreamers Guild as a community, and that community has specific standards. If you violate those standards, don't expect to be invited back.
With that in mind, here is a basic list of our community standards (as seen above).
That should be enough to get us going. We are small community and if you are part of us, it probably means you know all of the above anyway. It is good to have it listed, though.
